I'm with Helen on this and I'm a bloke, 43 years old and no regrets on anything nice I've said or wrote to a woman. Carry on as you were - you're doing fine. There is nothing wrong with being a good guy. The note sounds great and she'll be thrilled with it. I wish the both of you all the best.
