Sun dress with cardigan to a club?

Was wondering if it would be ok to wear a short sun dress with a cardigan and some funky jewerly and maybe some wedge shoes to a club? I'm in my 30's and wont to be cool and comfortable but not to look like a scank...lol Thanks and suggestion to the outfit would be greatly appreciated
