I can't find my phone AND my ipod touch 4g. What should I do?

My ipod disappeared 3 months ago, and I clearly remember that I was getting ready to go on vacation, so I was running around trying to pack everything up, and when I went to go get it, it wasn't there. I've retraced my steps, looked in every corner and wedge in my house, and searched every day. It won't turn up. It's so frustrating, and then just last week I put down my phone, and I can't find it. I've asked my siblings, and my cats only get up when they wanna eat. It's really weird, and I'm constantly searching. I can't buy another and I've done everything I can think of to find them. Help!!!
