How to keep sliding car window up besides tape?

Will someone please tell me how I can keep a window that keeps sliding down as a drive up. Besides tape because i already did that and it left a big sticky residue on my car, Ive had a knife wedged in there for a while but it only holds it a little bit longer, do they make a special wedge or something for this problem? thank you.
