Is it really bad to do this or is it okay?

I have never really been a lunch eater so in the morning i will eat about 400 calories and then i dont eat until dinner which is about 600-800 calories. Sometimes i will have a snack after dinner but most of the time i dont. This has only been going on for a month. I stopped drinking 6-8 sodas a day and replaced that with water, i stopped eating out all the time, i stopped eating lots of snacks. Im 5'7'' i weighed 198 before i started and now i weigh 185.6. Is my food intake bad for metabolism? its not that im "skipping" eating lunch, after breakfast im not really hungry till dinner. If this is bad would a granola bar in the afternoon help? If i did eat about 300 calories for lunch, would that speed up my metabolism and help me burn fat faster?
